Approved Program: Coaching for Leadership Certification
Accreditation Date: Jun 21, 2004
Organization Type:
We are an alliance of coach training organizations based in the US and Europe, offering training in coaching and leadership. We serve organizations who aim to grow their leadership capacity in three ways: 1) We offer an introductory course to train managers and executives in core coaching skills. 2) We offer an ACTP to train internal coaches to a professional standard of coaching for leadership. 3) Through a train-the-trainer program, we license internal trainers to deliver the introductory coaching course, which is appropriate for executives or managers at any level of the organization.
How do you conduct your training:
Our introductory courses are delivered in person over two days, typically followed by 4 hours of teleclasses. Our certification program is 15 days in person and 25 hours via teleclass. Our train-the-trainer program is delivered over 5 days in person with 24-30 hours via teleclass. Our teaching methodology is deliberately balanced across the known learning styles. Consequently, we employ a variety of methods, including lecture, discussion, individual practice, experiential exercises, and reading. Our programs are fun, intense, and rigorous. We help create communities of practice among our students.
Do you offer courses outside of your home-town?:
Yes, we offer courses in Europe and the UK, US and Canada. Courses are currently only offered in English.
Do you offer an ICF accredited program?:
Yes, the Coaching for Leadership Certification Program is an ICF ACTP. It is particularly well-suited to organizations growing their internal coaching capacity.
Do you offer a certification program?:
Yes. The Coaching for Leadership Certification Program is rolled out over three 5-day intensive training sessions, supported by teleclasses, coaching practice and supervision (125 hours total course time). It enables students to build their coaching skills and relate their learning from a lecture, demo, or practice to their current coaching practice or work situation. Sponsors’ business objectives are aligned with the program from the outset, so that leadership coaching is context-sensitive.
The foundation of your coach training program:
The Co-Creative Model is based on a synthesis of core skills, practices, and principles. We create clarity (not mystery) about how coaching works. The model offers students a strong but flexible framework to support their work with clients. Coaches who are trained by us help leaders become more purposeful and resourceful, build alliances and grow teams, and grow emotional intelligence. Throughout the program, students must relate their learning to their current coaching practice or work situation, which grounds their learning in a meaningful context. We also directly reference outside sources and other fields of study for deeper work.
This organization offers a training program which is an ICF ACTP.
