Lisa Simon
Lisa Simon was appointed as the Executive Director of the International Coach Federation in 2005, when ICF chose HOST Communications in Lexington, KY, as its management firm.
Simon leads organizational change, develops strategic plans and creates high-performance teams for associations and corporations. A skilled strategist, Simon can visualize the desired future and map out ways to reach the client’s objectives through group process and teamwork. With 20 years of experience in marketing and management, her facilitation skills and analytical abilities have proven effective in strategic planning, leadership development, organizational structure and managing change.
Simon previously served as Senior Vice President for the National Tour Association and was responsible for the day-to-day management, including marketing, membership development, convention execution, financial management and human resources. She also served as publisher for the association’s magazine, Courier.
Simon has also served as:
- a marketing/management consultant for HOST Communications
- a fund-raising and event planner for the National Tourism Foundation and National Tour Association
- editor of the Certified Tour Professional text and workbook
- travel journalist for Courier, Group Travel Management, and Bank Travel Management magazines.
She is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, The Travel Institute, and the Association of Travel Marketing Executives. Additionally, she received certificates in fund raising from the Fund Raising School of Indiana University’s Philanthropic Center and foundation management from ASAE. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in public relations from Eastern Kentucky University.
