New to the ICF Virtual Community?
Welcome!
The Virtual Community usually has about 100 members on its calls at any given time. In order to respect the guest speaker and members on the call, we ask that you follow the guidelines for our virtual meetings/calls.
Here is information to guide you when attending and participating in our monthly VC meetings.
1. Dial into the meeting bridgeline at the meeting start time.
2. Call from a regular corded/wired phone, or if using a cordless phone, stay close to the base station. Do not use a speaker phone or a cell phone. Use your mute button on your phone to keep out any noise in your environment from interrupting and distracting from the meeting.
3. When you call in, listen quietly to hear what’s going on in the meeting. Introduce yourself if and when called on to do so, or as appropriate.
4. When introducing yourself, you can say “Hi everyone, this is Mary from Boston” (your name and where you’re [calling] from) or something similar.
5. You should come to the call on time and stay until the call is completed. If you do call in late, please listen quietly to what’s going on in the meeting and come up to speed into the flow of the discussion.
6. When you are joining in a discussion, or responding to a prompt or question asked, identify yourself before you offer your contribution to the discussion.
7. When the meeting is finished, just say thank you and goodbye, and hang up.
