ICF Accredited Coach Training Programs (ACTP)

The following organizations offer Coach Specific Training programs that have met the criteria for the ICF's Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP). Although these organizations may offer other programs, only the programs listed here are ICF accredited. In order to be considered a graduate of an ACTP, you must meet the requirements and be a graduate of a program specified in this listing.

ICF Approved Coach Specific Training Hours (ACSTH)

The second training program accreditation, "Approved Coach Specific Training Hours", (ACSTH), provides coach training schools with an opportunity to have an accreditation which approves coach training program as providing a specified number of Coach Specific Training (CST) hours. Between 30 and 120 hours can be approved as coach specific training. This second training school accreditation alleviates the need for Associate Credentialed Coach (ACC) applicants and Professional Credentialed Coach (PCC) and Master Credentialed Coach (MCC) Portfolio applicants to specify all of their coach training hours on their application forms. The applicant simply needs to attach ACSTH program documentation to evidence that they have attended that program (after the date of the program's ACSTH accreditation) and the number of CST hours that they attended were Approved Coach Specific Training. ALL APPLICANTS WILL STILL BE REQUIRED TO MEET ALL OTHER APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS, AND MUST SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THE APPLICABLE ICF EXAM TO RECEIVE THEIR CREDENTIAL.

ICF Approved Programs for Continuing Coach Education (CCE)

The Continuing Coach Education (CCE) requirement for certification renewal is 40 Continuing Coach Education Units (CCEUs) over the three (3) year period. A minimum of 24 of the required 40 CCEUs must directly relate to the ICF Core Coaching Competencies. The remaining 16 CCEUs of the required 40 CCEUs must relate to either the ICF Core Coaching Competencies or to the personal development of the coach, the development of the coach's practice or be skills or tools that are directly applicable to coaching.
