The program content is part of the 295 hours Level 2 and prepares you with the required training to be able to apply for Professional Coach Certification (PCC) from ICF.
The coaching education program is designed for you to learn and live the ICF coach competencies through your own learning style by accessing modules, exercises, videos and podcasts and articles all accessible within your own resource base.
The sessions/classes with trainers and mentors are designed for everyone to practice and develop the skills, drilling deeper into the coach core competencies building the skills one brick at a time until the coach demonstrates PCC level coaching in the evaluation session. This is the point the coach has built their desired structure to serve others and build a business or enhance their existing performance at work and home.
The learning journey is structured so that students have adequate tools and confidence to apply the skills outside in the home and work environments throughout the program and are encouraged to start and grow their coaching practice from the beginning of the program by providing specific modules and support on starting your own practice.
The business development of the program will cover areas such as marketing their personal brand, niche selection and ideal clients, and will support each coach to create their own unique coaching model and coach-client relationship guidelines. Also, everyone is encouraged to complete at least two 12-hour coaching programs with an external client as part of the coaching practice start-up requirements.
Each student will work with a personal mentor focusing on enhancing the use of the coaching skills learned and will be evaluated to ensure they have reached the ICF standards of a professional coach.
There is also an online community spread across five continents supporting one another on the learning journey and during the program each person will work with smaller groups of fellow coaches with continuous support from the FCA team and faculty members to ensure the learning occurs at their own pace.
In addition, all students give and receive at least 24 hours coaching from fellow students during the program and this creates further understanding of the impact of coaching and their own styles of reaching the desired outcomes.
Throughout the program all students have access to new content that is continuously produced by the faculty including webinars and special events.
There is a support team from the start of the program to ensure everyone tracks their learning outcomes and reaches or goes beyond their personal goals for the program.
All of the students are invited to join the free Alumni community where they are supported to further develop their coaching skills and to get ready for their ICF written exam and build their 500+ coach experience hours as part of the requirements to apply for PCC credential with ICF.
